Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States. The main risk factors for heart disease are high blood pressure, high blood cholesterol, and smoking. Approximately 47% of the US population suffers from at least one of these three risk factors. Other medical conditions and lifestyle choices that also raise an individual's risk for heart disease include: diabetes, obesity, unhealthy diet, physical inactivity, and excessive alcohol use. As a holistic practitioner, I offer functional testing, holistic nutrition, lifestyle interventions and personalized nutraceuticals to help lower the risk of heart disease and promote wellness.

How is Heart Disease treated?

Conventional treatment for heart disease includes medications, lifestyle support, and dietary changes.

My holistic approach is both preventative and personalized. I evaluate the physical, mental, and spiritual health of each individual I work with. When an individual is diagnosed with a disease, the disease is not isolated to an organ or organ system. Rather, the whole body is affected. Physical manifestations of disease are often rooted in imbalances at deeper levels that cannot always be understood at the surface level. This is why I take a holistic approach: to uncover and help reverse the root cause of heart disease, which may be related to inflammation, heavy metal toxicity, stress, nutritional deficiencies, hormonal imbalance, substance abuse, anxiety and depression. My health recommendations target the whole body to promote vitality and longevity, and are inclusive of clinical nutrition therapy, supplementation, lifestyle interventions, botanical medicine, and mindfulness.
