Neurology
Neurological conditions are one of the leading causes of illness and disability, and their impact increases with age in all areas of life from movement to coordination to memory to energy. In the US, migraine, stroke, Alzheimer’s and other dementias are among the top conditions to living a life with disability. Risk factors for neurological diseases consist of: toxins, stress, poor gut health, inflammation, and other lifestyle factors. I use integrative neurology to identify such risk factors with functional testing and create personalized treatment plans that maximize the brain’s powerful ability to heal (neuroplasticity), slow down worsening of symptoms, and improve overall quality of life.
Brain Health & Neuroplasticity
What is Neurology?
Neurology is a medical speciality that diagnoses and treats diseases and conditions that affect the brain and nervous system. This also includes the spinal cord, nerves, and muscles.
What are common risk factors that contribute to neurological disorders or conditions?
- Environmental toxins

How are neurological conditions treated?
Conventional treatment for neurological conditions include medication, physical therapy, surgery, and assistive devices.
My treatment approach is preventative and holistic. I use functional testing to identify toxin buildup, inflammation status, and gut health, which help identify risk factors for many neurological conditions. In my experience, neurological diseases are deeply rooted in trauma, and by working through the emotional roots, symptoms start to slow…even heal completely. I also recommend nutritional and lifestyle changes as well as nutritional supplements to support the body’s natural healing process. The brain is neuroplastic, and therefore, we can utilize so many different tools to create new neural pathways for prolonged healing.
*Neuroplasticity: the brain’s ability to form new or re-organized synaptic connections.
